Terms of Service

1. About these Terms

These Terms are an agreement between you and InPvP Inc, a Delaware corporation at 8 The Green, STE B, Dover, Delaware 19901, USA (“we”, “us”). BedrockBuddy is operated and published by InPvP Inc. They cover bedrockbuddy.com and the BedrockBuddy apps for iOS and Android (together, “BedrockBuddy”).

By using BedrockBuddy you agree to these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use BedrockBuddy. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you and is responsible for your use.

2. What BedrockBuddy is

BedrockBuddy is a site and app for Minecraft Bedrock players: catalogs of skins, builds, addons, maps, resource packs and skin packs; skin, build and avatar generators; seed and world tools; player lookup; a server directory; profiles, follows, comments and direct messages; Bits; and the Best Buddy subscription.

NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT.

Features can change, and we may add, change or remove them at any time.

3. Accounts and age

• Signing in: You can sign in with Xbox (your Microsoft account) or your email address on the website or in the app, or with Sign in with Apple on the website and in the iOS app. Some features, such as messages, need a linked Xbox account.
• Your skin and gamertag: We only fetch your skin and gamertag (both public data) when you sign in and agree to our Terms of Service. No data is taken from the in-game InPvP servers. Your player page shows them only after you have signed in, and you choose who sees them in Settings > Privacy.
• Age: Players under 13 (or the age of digital consent where you live) need a Microsoft child account with a parent's consent, managed by Microsoft. Some features are limited by age: for example, messages and posting comments are only for players 13 or older, and players under 18 start with private settings.
• Your account is yours: Keep it secure and do not share, sell or transfer it. You are responsible for what happens on it.
• Your use of Xbox, Apple and Google Play: is also subject to the Microsoft Services Agreement, Apple's terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.

4. Using BedrockBuddy

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use BedrockBuddy for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. You must not copy, resell or reverse engineer BedrockBuddy, or use it to build a competing service, except where the law allows it.

Addons, maps, texture packs, skins, builds and other content you download from BedrockBuddy are for your own personal use in Minecraft. Unless the creator and we have both agreed in writing, you must not:

• Scrape: use bots, scrapers, crawlers or scripts to collect content, files, images, descriptions or data from BedrockBuddy or its app, or download in bulk;
• Re-host: upload, mirror, re-host or redistribute content from BedrockBuddy anywhere else, including other websites, apps, app stores, file hosts, CurseForge, MCPEDL and Discord servers, whether changed or not;
• Hotlink: link other sites or apps directly to our files, images or download links, or show our content inside them, instead of linking to the page on BedrockBuddy;
• Sell or claim it: sell, put behind a paywall or ads, or claim as your own any content made by someone else, or remove its creator credit.

Linking to a page on BedrockBuddy is always fine. Search engines may index public pages as allowed by our robots.txt. We may block, and take legal action against, anyone who breaks these rules, and creators keep every right to enforce their own copyright.

5. Bits

• What Bits are: Bits are a virtual currency for making skins, builds and avatars on BedrockBuddy. They are a licence to use a feature, not property, and have no cash value.
• Getting Bits: Accounts get weekly Bits, and you can buy Bit packs: on the website through PayNow, our payment provider, in the iOS app through Apple In-App Purchase, and in the Android app through Google Play Billing.
• Weekly and bought Bits: Weekly Bits do not roll over. Bits you buy do not expire while your account is open.
• No cash out: Bits cannot be exchanged for money, transferred to another account, or sold or traded.
• Prices: Pack prices and what each creation costs in Bits are shown before you buy or spend, and may change.
• All purchases are final: except where the law requires a refund. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, and refunds for Google Play purchases by Google under the Google Play refund policies. For website purchases, contact support. If a purchase is refunded or charged back, we remove the Bits it added, and your balance can go below zero.

6. Best Buddy subscription

Best Buddy is an auto-renewing weekly subscription. Its price, in your currency, and what it includes (such as weekly Bits and no ads on bedrockbuddy.com) are shown before you subscribe.

• Free trial: New subscribers may be offered a free trial, shown before you subscribe. Each account gets one free trial, across the website and the app. Unless you cancel before it ends, it becomes a paid subscription.
• Renewal: The subscription renews every week at the then current price until you cancel.
• In the iOS app: Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when the trial ends. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple ID is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your device's Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
• In the Android app: Payment is charged to your Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, or when the trial ends. The subscription renews automatically every week until you cancel it. Manage or cancel it in the Google Play Store app under Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions, or at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
• On the website: Payment is handled by PayNow. Manage or cancel with the Manage button on bedrockbuddy.com/bits.
• Cancelling: stops the next renewal. You keep Best Buddy until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting your BedrockBuddy account does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds: App Store refunds are handled by Apple, and Google Play refunds by Google. Other refunds are given only where the law requires.

Purchases in the iOS app are also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no duty to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms for the app and may enforce them against you.

Purchases in the Android app are also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. These Terms are between you and us, not Google, and Google is not responsible for the app or its content.

7. Generated content

Skins, builds and avatars are generated by our models and partners such as Anthropic from the prompts and skins you give them. Generating needs an account and costs Bits.

• Yours to use: As between you and us, you own the results made for you, and we assign to you any rights we have in them. You can use them in Minecraft and share them, in line with these Terms and Minecraft's rules.
• Not unique: Results are made by machine learning models. Similar results may be made for other people, and results may not be protected by copyright where you live.
• Your prompts: You are responsible for your prompts and for the skins you start from, which must follow the Acceptable Use Policy.
• Our licence: You give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store and process your prompts and results to run, moderate and improve the generators. Results stay private until you publish them. If you publish a result, you also give us a licence to show it in our catalogs and let others download it, and published results may stay in the catalog without your name after you delete your account.
• No guarantee: Results may be wrong, imperfect or unsuitable. We may refuse a request or remove a result that breaks these Terms.

8. Your uploads

This covers addons, maps, resource packs, skin packs, skins, builds, images, comments, reviews and anything else you upload or post (“your content”).

• You keep ownership: The creator owns their content.
• Licence to host: You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, convert, display and distribute your content on BedrockBuddy, let other players download and use it in Minecraft, and show it (for example as a thumbnail) when we promote BedrockBuddy. The licence ends when you remove the content, except for copies players already downloaded, backups kept for a limited time, and content we must keep for legal or safety reasons.
• Your promise: You confirm you own your content or have permission to share it, and that it follows the Acceptable Use Policy.
• Review: Content is checked for safety, may be reviewed before it appears, and may be removed.
• Copyright: If you believe content on BedrockBuddy infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] with the work, where it appears on BedrockBuddy and your contact details. We remove infringing content and close the accounts of repeat infringers.

9. Creator migration program

Creators accepted into the creator migration program sign a separate creator agreement. A separate signed agreement governs the program, including payment, exclusivity and the licence for the moved content. If it conflicts with these Terms, the signed agreement wins for that content.

10. Rules

You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. It covers harassment, safety of younger players, messages, uploads, generating, reviews, Bits and fair play.

11. Moderation and termination

• We may review, refuse, hide or remove content, and restrict features such as messaging, uploading or generating, when we believe something breaks these Terms or puts someone at risk.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. If we close your account for breaking them, you lose your Bits and any subscription time, without a refund, unless the law requires one.
• We are not required to monitor everything on BedrockBuddy, and having moderation tools does not make us responsible for what other players do.
• You can stop using BedrockBuddy at any time and delete your account in the app (Me > Delete account) or at bedrockbuddy.com/delete-account.
• We may stop offering BedrockBuddy. If we do, we will give reasonable notice where we can.
• Sections that by their nature should survive (such as licences you gave us for published content, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) survive the end of these Terms.

12. Other services

BedrockBuddy works with other services, such as Microsoft and Xbox for sign-in, Apple for Sign in with Apple and purchases in the iOS app, Google Play for purchases in the Android app, and PayNow for website payments. Their own terms apply to your use of them. We are not responsible for other services, or for sites and downloads we link to.

13. Ads

The website shows ads, including a short ad before some downloads and before each generation on a free account. The iOS and Android apps show no ads. We do not endorse what ads promote. See the Privacy Policy for how ads use data.

14. Trademarks and Minecraft

BedrockBuddy, its logo, design and software belong to InPvP Inc or its licensors. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB. BedrockBuddy is NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT.

15. Disclaimers

BEDROCKBUDDY IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that BedrockBuddy will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, that downloads, seeds, player data or generated results are accurate, or that content made by other players is safe. Back up your worlds before importing anything.

16. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INPVP INC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, WORLDS, PROFITS, BITS OR OTHER VIRTUAL ITEMS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE BEDROCKBUDDY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ABOUT THESE TERMS OR BEDROCKBUDDY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100) AND THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

Some places do not allow these limits. Where that is the case, they apply only as far as the law allows.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

If there is a dispute, contact us first so we can try to resolve it in good faith. If it is not resolved within thirty (30) days, either side may start binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, held in the State of Delaware. Claims must be brought individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in a class or representative proceeding.

We may still ask any court with jurisdiction for an injunction or other equitable relief to protect our intellectual property. Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under consumer laws that cannot be changed by contract.

18. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless InPvP Inc and its officers, directors, employees and agents from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable lawyers' fees) arising from your content, your use of BedrockBuddy, or your breach of these Terms or of someone else's rights.

19. Changes

We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes we will tell you on BedrockBuddy or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using BedrockBuddy after that, you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, stop using BedrockBuddy and delete your account.

20. General

These Terms, together with the policies they mention and any separate signed agreement, are the whole agreement between you and us about BedrockBuddy. If part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term, we have not waived it. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them as part of a merger, sale or reorganisation.
