Definitive Tree Capitator makes wood gathering faster while still giving you control over how trees are detected and chopped.

Break one log with an axe and the addon can automatically process the rest of the tree.

Use the default settings and start playing immediately, or customize everything from tree detection and chopping speed to replanting, drops, custom trees and custom tools.

🛡️ More Than a Simple Tree Capitator

The addon is designed to make chopping trees faster without making every wooden structure dangerous to touch.

With Smart Detection, Tree Capitator performs additional checks before deciding that something is a valid natural tree.

For more control, you can also choose between:

Smart Detection - recommended for Survival
Relaxed Detection - accepts more log variants
Connected Blocks - useful for custom or giant trees

So you can choose between safer vanilla-style detection or much more flexible chopping for addon trees.

⚠️ Giant Tree Safety

Some custom trees can contain hundreds or even thousands of logs.

V4.1 adds Giant Tree Safety to help prevent accidentally processing something massive.

You can choose when confirmation is required:

Disabled
500+ Logs
1,000+ Logs
1,500+ Logs

When a giant tree is detected, Tree Capitator asks you to confirm by breaking another log within a short period.

This is especially useful with:

Jungle trees
Giant addon trees
Connected Blocks mode
Large custom structures

🌱 Automatic Replanting

Tree Capitator can automatically plant another sapling after a valid tree is chopped.

It also supports large:

2×2 Trees

as long as the required saplings are available in your inventory.

This lets you clear trees quickly without leaving your forests completely empty.

📦 Choose What Happens to Tree Drops

V4.1 adds multiple Drop Modes.

Vanilla Drops

Blocks drop where they are broken.

Gather at Tree Base

Tree drops are moved to the bottom of the tree.

Auto Collect

Drops are gathered at the tree base and then added directly to your inventory when possible.

If a world operator disables Auto Collect, the addon automatically falls back to Gather at Tree Base.

🪓 Custom Axe & Hatchet Support

Definitive Tree Capitator can automatically recognize many compatible axes and hatchets from other addons.

If a tool is not detected correctly, you can register it manually using Tool Rules.

You do not need to hold the tool in your main hand while configuring it.

Choose:

Tool Allowlist - forces a selected item to activate Tree Capitator
Tool Blacklist - prevents a selected item from activating Tree Capitator

The Tool Blacklist has priority, even over vanilla axes.

Automatic Custom Axe Detection is still available, so you can combine automatic detection with manual exceptions.

🧩 Custom Tree Support

Using trees from another addon?

Block Rules let you tell Tree Capitator exactly how custom blocks should behave.

Look directly at a block and register it as:

🪵 Custom Log
🍃 Custom Leaf
🚫 Block Blacklist

The Block Blacklist always has priority.

This means you can explicitly protect a block even if Tree Capitator would normally recognize it.

You can view saved entries, remove individual blocks or reset the entire list.

Custom Block and Tool lists can store up to 64 entries each.

🌳 Choose Which Trees Can Be Chopped

Every player can choose exactly which tree families are allowed to activate Tree Capitator.

Supported tree types include:

Oak
Spruce
Birch
Jungle
Acacia
Dark Oak
Mangrove
Cherry
Pale Oak
Crimson Fungus
Warped Fungus
Bamboo

You can also use:

Enable All
Disable All

A disabled tree type simply breaks normally.

Disabled tree types are also respected by Connected Blocks mode.

🌍 Made for Realms & Multiplayer

Definitive Tree Capitator was designed with multiplayer in mind.

Most gameplay settings are stored per player.

For example:

One player can use progressive chopping.

Another can use instant chopping.

Another can disable Tree Capitator completely.

V4.1 also adds World Settings so operators can control which advanced options are availa

Because this mode is more powerful, V4.1 also allows operators to disable it through World Settings.

📏 Tree Search Range

Choose the maximum size of tree Tree Capitator should process.

Small Trees - up to 96 logs, 256 leaves, 16 blocks upward and 3 blocks horizontally.
Default Trees - up to 320 logs, 800 leaves, 28 blocks upward and 5 blocks horizontally.
Big Trees - up to 900 logs, 1,800 leaves, 42 blocks upward and 8 blocks horizontally.
Giant / Jungle - up to 2,200 logs, 4,200 leaves, 64 blocks upward and 12 blocks horizontally.

Operators can also limit the maximum range allowed in the world.
