Block Armor turns Minecraft blocks and materials into complete armor sets - and most of them do much more than simply protect you.

Build armor from Glowstone, TNT, Sculk, Redstone, Honey, Quartz, Obsidian, Stone and many other blocks to unlock unique abilities for combat, exploration, mining, movement and Survival.

Combined with the previous abilities, Block Armor now has:

Dirt Armor remains available as a normal armor set without a special ability.

🔧 V3.1.1 Fixes & Improvements

💥 TNT Blast Jump

TNT Armor's Blast Jump has been improved.

The jump itself no longer causes unwanted fall damage when you land.

🌊 Conduit Power

Prismarine Armor's Conduit Power has been improved so the effect no longer constantly expires and reappears, preventing the annoying visual flicker.

🧪 Smarter Potion Effect Handling

Armor abilities now work much more safely with effects the player already has.

If you already have the same effect at an equal or stronger level, Block Armor leaves your existing effect alone.

If an armor ability temporarily provides a stronger version, your previous effect can be preserved and restored when the armor effect ends, as long as its original duration has not expired.

Removing the armor also removes the effect provided specifically by the armor instead of leaving it behind.

⚙️ World Settings Permissions

World Settings now correctly recognize:

  • World Owners / Hosts
  • Operators
  • Admin-level players

Players without permission can still use the normal personal features without being able to change global armor powers.

🧱 Brick Armor - Blast Defense

Wearing the complete Brick Armor set reduces explosion damage by 40%.

It also helps reduce the knockback caused by explosions.

🟨 Gilded Blackstone Armor - Piglin Defense

Wearing the complete set reduces damage received from:

  • Piglins
  • Piglin Brutes

Damage from these enemies is reduced by 50%.

🔥 Nether Brick Armor - Wither Defense

The complete Nether Brick Armor set automatically removes the Wither effect.

It also reduces damage received from Wither Skeletons by 30%.

🪵 Log Armor - Lightweight Movement

Wearing the full Log Armor set grants Speed I.

This makes the wooden set useful as lightweight exploration equipment.

🌳 Oak Planks Armor - Forest Regeneration

Wearing the complete Oak Planks set slowly regenerates your health while you remain close to forest blocks.

This includes nearby:

  • Logs
  • Wood
  • Leaves

🪨 Cobblestone Armor - Melee Defense

The complete Cobblestone set reduces direct melee damage by 15%.

⛏️ Andesite Armor - Mining Haste

Wear the complete set while holding a pickaxe around stone-like blocks to receive Haste I.

The ability is designed for underground mining and stone excavation.

⚪ Diorite Armor - Purification

The full Diorite set continuously cleanses negative effects including:

  • Poison
  • Fatal Poison
  • Nausea

🔴 Granite Armor - Charged Strike

Receiving damage while wearing the complete Granite set charges your next attack.

You have 5 seconds to use the charge.

Your next successful hit deals an additional +3 damage.

🧲 Redstone Block Armor - Magnetic Field

Redstone Block Armor attracts nearby dropped items and experience toward the player.

This is a piece-based ability.

More equipped pieces increase the magnetic range, reaching up to approximately 8 blocks.

🌌 Sculk Armor - Vibration Detection

Wear the complete Sculk Armor set and sneak to sense nearby moving living entities.

Detection range:

12 blocks

The actionbar displays:

  • Number of detected vibrations
  • Distance to the closest detected entity

This makes the armor useful for caves, exploration and detecting movement around you.

💥 TNT Armor - Blast Jump

Wear the complete TNT Armor set and perform a sneak-jump to activate Blast Jump.

The ability launches you forward and upward without destroying blocks.

Cooldown:

5 seconds

👤 Personal Settings

Block Armor settings are now separated between personal preferences and global world options.

Personal Settings include:

  • Actionbar Hints
  • Armor Item Lore
  • Ability Effects

Ability Effects can be configured as:

  • Off
  • Reduced
  • Full

This option changes extra visual and sound feedback without disabling the armor powers themselves.

🌍 World Settings

World Settings control the addon globally and can only be changed by authorized world owners, hosts, operators or admins.

Operators can:

  • Enable or disable all armor powers
  • Enable or disable individual armor abilities
  • Reset World Settings

📖 Reorganized Armor Guide

The in-game guide now organizes armor abilities into categories:

  • 🛡️ Defense
  • ⚔️ Combat
  • 🏃 Mobility
  • 🛠️ Utility

Select an armor to read exactly what its power does and how it activates.

✨ All 34 Armor Powers

Some armor powers work with only one piece and become stronger as you equip more.

Others are powerful Full Set Bonuses requiring all four pieces.

🧩 Piece-Based Abilities

💜 Amethyst Armor - Projectile Protection

Each equipped piece reduces projectile damage by 8%.

  • 1 Piece - 8%
  • 2 Pieces - 16%
  • 3 Pieces - 24%
  • Full Set - 32%

🔥 Crying Obsidian Armor - Fire Resistance

Equipping at least one piece grants Fire Resistance.

No full set is required.

🟢 Slime Block Armor - Jump Boost

Improves your jumping while pieces are equipped.

  • 1-2 Pieces - Jump Boost I
  • 3-4 Pieces - Jump Boost II

🌊 Prismarine Armor - Conduit Power

One or more equipped pieces grant Conduit Power.

V3.1.1 improves effect handling to prevent the Conduit Power effect from repeatedly flickering.

💡 Glowstone Armor - Dynamic Light

Creates dynamic light that follows you.

  • 1 Piece - Light Level 9
  • 2 Pieces - Light Level 11
  • 3 Pieces - Light Level 13
  • Full Set - Light Level 15

💎 Lapis Lazuli Armor - Ore XP

Mining recognized ores with a pickaxe grants bonus experience.

  • 1 Piece - +1 XP
  • 2 Pieces - +2 XP
  • 3 Pieces - +3 XP
  • Full Set - +4 XP

The system recognizes vanilla ores and compatible custom ores and can recognize compatible custom pickaxes.

🌋 Magma Block Armor - Burning Retaliation

Enemies that hit you receive damage and are set on fire.

Each equipped piece increases retaliation damage and additional pieces also increase burn duration.

🌵 Cactus Armor - Thorns

Enemies that hit you receive damage.

Each equipped piece increases retaliation damage.

🍄 Red Mushroom Armor - Poison Retaliation

Enemies that attack you receive Poison.

More equipped pieces increase the Poison duration.

🍯 Honey Armor - Sticky Defense

Enemies that hit you receive Slowness.

More pieces increase the duration, and 3-4 pieces apply stronger Slowness.

🧲 Redstone Block Armor - Magnetic Field

Attracts nearby dropped items and XP.

More equipped pieces increase the magnetic range, up to approximately 8 blocks.

🪨 Stone Armor - Resistance

The complete set grants Resistance I.

❄️ Ice Armor - Frost Walker

The complete set temporarily converts water around your feet into Frosted Ice.

🌾 Hay Bale Armor - Fall Protection

The complete set reduces fall damage by approximately 50%.

🔥 Coal Armor - Instant Cooking

Wear the complete set, crouch and use supported raw meat to instantly cook one item.

Cooldown: 4 seconds.

The ability also uses a small amount of armor durability.

🧶 Wool Armor - Sleep Anywhere

At night, wear the complete set and use the special Sneak + Interact mechanic to begin the sleep sequence and skip to daytime.

The ability consumes armor durability.

📚 Bookshelf Armor - Knowledge XP

The complete set gives bonus experience from normal gameplay.

  • Breaking recognized ores - +1 XP
  • Defeating an entity - +2 XP

🌿 Mossy Stone Brick Armor - Natural Regeneration

The complete set grants Regeneration while standing on natural terrain such as dirt, grass, moss or mud.

🍉 Melon Armor - Hunger Recovery

The complete set periodically restores hunger.

🟨 End Stone Armor - Fall Safety

The complete set automatically activates Slow Falling when your downward velocity becomes dangerous.

🦴 Bone Armor - Wolf Commander

The complete set buffs your own tamed wolves within 8 blocks with:

  • Strength I
  • Resistance I

Wild wolves and wolves owned by other players are ignored.

⚪ Quartz Armor - Haste

The complete set continuously grants Haste I.

🏜️ Sand Armor - Desert Speed

The complete set grants Speed I while standing on Sand or Red Sand.

🧱 Brick Armor - Blast Defense

Reduces explosion damage by 40% and dampens explosion knockback.

🟨 Gilded Blackstone Armor - Piglin Defense

Reduces damage from Piglins and Piglin Brutes by 50%.

🔥 Nether Brick Armor - Wither Defense

Automatically removes the Wither effect and reduces Wither Skeleton damage by 30%.

🪵 Log Armor - Speed

The complete set grants Speed I.

🌳 Oak Planks Armor - Forest Regeneration

Regenerates health while you remain close to logs, wood or leaves.

🪨 Cobblestone Armor - Melee Defense

Reduces direct melee damage by 15%.

⛏️ Andesite Armor - Mining Haste

Grants Haste I while using a pickaxe around stone-like blocks.

⚪ Diorite Armor - Purification

Continuously removes Poison, Fatal Poison and Nausea.

🔴 Granite Armor - Charged Strike

Taking damage charges your next attack for 5 seconds.

The charged attack deals +3 additional damage.

🌌 Sculk Armor - Vibration Detection

Sneak while wearing the complete set to detect moving living entities within 12 blocks.

The actionbar shows the amount of detected vibrations and distance to the closest entity.

💥 TNT Armor - Blast Jump

Sneak-jump while wearing the complete set to launch yourself forward and upward.

The ability does not destroy blocks.

Cooldown: 5 seconds.

Every player receives the Block Armor Config once when joining the world.

👤 Personal Settings

These settings affect only you.

You can configure:

💬 Actionbar Hints

Enable or disable actionbar information used by special armor mechanics.

📜 Armor Item Lore

Show or hide translated armor ability descriptions.

✨ Ability Effects

Choose how much additional visual and sound feedback armor abilities use:

  • Off
  • Reduced
  • Full

Disabling visual effects does not disable the armor powers themselves.

🌍 World Settings

These options affect every player in the world.

Only authorized owners, hosts, operators or admins can change them.

World Settings include:

  • ⚙️ All Armor Abilities
  • ✨ Individual Armor Powers
  • 🔄 Reset World Settings

All Armor Abilities

Acts as a global master switch.

Disable it if you want to keep all Block Armor sets as normal equipment without any special powers.

Individual Powers

Each of the 34 active abilities can also be enabled or disabled independently.

Each power has its own information screen showing:

  • What the ability does
  • Whether it requires a full set
  • Activation conditions
  • Current ON/OFF state

The Config Book also includes a complete in-game guide.

Armor abilities are organized into:

Choose a category and select an armor to read exactly how its power works.

📜 Smart Armor Lore

Block Armor items can display a short translated explanation of their ability directly in the inventory.

Lore identifies armor as:

  • ✨ Passive Ability
  • 🛡️ Full Set Bonus
  • 🧱 No Special Ability

The lore system updates armor obtained through normal gameplay, including crafting, commands, chests, drops and inventory changes.

If you prefer cleaner item descriptions, disable Armor Item Lore in Personal Settings.

🧱 Crafting & Repairing Armor

Block Armor sets are designed for Survival.

Recipes normally follow Minecraft's standard armor shapes using the material represented by each set.

Armor pieces can also be repaired using their corresponding material.

For example:

Stone Armor → repaired with Stone

Block Armor pieces support normal Minecraft armor enchantments.

🎨 Texture Pack Compatibility

Block Armor uses Minecraft block textures as the base for its armor appearance.

Because of this, compatible texture packs that replace those block textures can naturally change the appearance of the armor.

Block Armor is also designed to work alongside Action & Stuff.

✅ Compatibility

🚫 No player.json

Block Armor does not use player.json.

This helps reduce conflicts with other Add-ons that modify player visuals, animations or behavior.

👥 Realms & Multiplayer

Block Armor works in multiplayer worlds and Realms.

Personal Settings are controlled individually by each player, while global World Settings are controlled by authorized operators.

🧪 No Experimental Gameplay

Block Armor uses the stable Script API and does not require experimental gameplay toggles.

🏆 Achievements

The addon is designed to work without disabling achievements.

  1. Import/install **Block Armor

Added special abilities for Mushroom Armor and Hay Armor.

These systems have since been significantly expanded and redesigned.
