🌳 Cut the Tree. Don't Wait for the Leaves.

Tired of waiting for leaves to disappear after chopping down a tree?

Faster Leaves speeds up the natural decay of unsupported leaves. Break a tree's logs normally, and its unsupported natural leaves will start disappearing sooner, with vanilla-style drops preserved where supported.

🌳 How It Works

1. Break a vanilla tree log.
2. Faster Leaves scans the nearby trunk and connected canopy, including higher leaves above the broken log.
3. It identifies eligible natural leaves that are no longer supported by nearby logs.
4. Those leaves decay over time, using normal drops where available.

Leaves still supported by logs and persistent player-placed leaves are intended to remain in place. The addon uses bounded searches, so unusually large or custom trees may not be fully processed.

⚡ Performance & Tree Safety

Faster Leaves does not attempt to clear entire forests at once. The updated system uses a shared processing queue and limits concurrent tree jobs, so multiple chopping actions cannot spawn unlimited decay loops.

Its improved canopy search also checks for supporting wood and limits the processing area, helping avoid accidental removal of leaves on trees beside the one you cut.

🧩 Compatibility

• Minecraft Bedrock 26.50+ as declared by the updated pack's minimum engine version.
• Uses the stable Minecraft Script API version declared by the pack (@minecraft/server 2.10.0).
• Designed for vanilla trees and leaves; custom tree blocks may not be recognized.
• No player.json replacement or experimental gameplay toggles required.
• Includes "metadata": {"product_type": "addon"} in the manifests. Achievements compatibility depends on the world and other installed packs as well.

📦 Installation

1. Import the .mcaddon file into Minecraft Bedrock.
2. Activate the Behavior Pack and Resource Pack in your world.
3. Chop a vanilla tree normally and let its unsupported leaves decay.
