🌾 No Crop Trampling

No Crop Trampling protects your farms from being ruined when players or mobs jump on them.

In vanilla Minecraft, farmland can turn back into dirt when it gets trampled, and crops can break because of that. This addon restores the farmland and crop state after trampling, so your farms stay safe.

It is simple, lightweight and useful for survival bases, Realms, villages and multiplayer farms.

This update fixes an important problem from the first version.

When crops were restored after trampling, the broken crop drops could still remain on the ground, which could cause item duplication.

Now the addon removes the crop drops caused by trampling before restoring the saved crop state.

Main changes

• Stops farmland from staying ruined after trampling
• Restores crops after trampling
• Removes crop drops caused by trampling
• Prevents crop duplication from trampling
• Manual harvesting still works normally
• Manual breaking still gives normal drops
• No vanilla block files are replaced

🌱 Supported Crops

The addon currently protects the main vanilla crops:

• Wheat
• Carrots
• Potatoes
• Beetroot

When these crops are planted on farmland, the addon saves their state and restores them if the farmland is trampled.

🔧 How it works

The addon watches farmland near players.

If farmland quickly turns into dirt because of trampling, the addon restores it back to farmland.

If a crop was on top of that farmland, the addon also restores the crop with its saved growth state.

To prevent duplication, the addon removes only the crop-related item drops created by that trampling event.

This means normal farming should still work:

• Breaking crops manually still works
• Harvesting crops normally still works
• Normal crop drops are not disabled

🧪 Suggested Test

To test the addon:

1. Plant wheat, carrots, potatoes or beetroot.
2. Jump on the farmland several times.
3. The farmland and crop should restore instead of being ruined.
4. Check that duplicated crop items are not left on the ground.
5. Break or harvest the crops manually and confirm the normal drops still work.

There is no Resource Pack required for this addon.
